Working with Jonas and Liz

Another picture of Sammy. Love the eyes that girl has.

Portrait of Rachel. Things I think about her :D
Took this picture of Sammy the other day while we were around the house. Later that day we went to Lizards Mouth and explored some rocks. I thought the rock texture went with this image of Sam. Captured my day :D

Tried doing some shots today for my roommate Jonas. He is currently working on a film with some of his fellow students and asked me to do some photos for them. The movie is a love story and has a very dreamy theme. This is my first attempt on helping them out. I don't shoot people that often so this was a challenge for me. I hope you enjoy.

lack of sleep

I can't seem to sleep. I was looking through some snap shots i took a couple weeks ago and I found these pictures. They felt familiar or something so I thought I would post them. A little food for thought.

Motivation in movement

When are we done with an image?
Today I've been working hard to improve my editing process. The only way to improve is to try new things. So I'm asking you all... where do start your editing. When you look at an image what are the questions you ask yourself? What does this photograph need? How often do you change the order of your editing?

Here's what I've worked on today :)

Getting Started!!!

Hello everyone,
This is my first blog, obviously, and I'm pretty excited to start. I am a photographer studying at Brooks Institute. I feel extremely lucky being surrounded with so many talented people everyday. Currently I am finishing up an industrial/scientific class that teaches how to capture things that are too fast or too slow for the human eye to see. Earlier in the class I got the chance to go to Joshua Tree with some friends and capture a few time lapses of the sunset. The desert is a such a strange beauty to me. I could honestly say I have never seen a sight like that before. My passion for photography started with moments like this. With a camera in my hands, I feel that I can open my eyes to so many different perspectives and fully intake a single moment. I hope you all enjoy my new blog as much as me. With love,
